Giving

It takes a brave man to plant a seed for a tree that will some day give shade to people he may never meet.

David Trueblood

Annual Giving

This gives the opportunity for every member of the Community, whether an Old Cheltonian, a past or current parent, or a friend to make an annual or one-off gift to College. These donations are vital to the school’s future and will be spent on a number of essential short-term projects and to support the Scholarship and Bursaries scheme.

The Hugh Reeves Legacy Society

A Legacy is one of the most lasting and meaningful gifts you can make to the school. The Hugh Reeves Society was set up in 2002 and now has over 100 individuals who have become Members of this Society by including College in their plans.

To become a member please download and fill in the membership form below.

Gifts of Shares or Securities

Making a gift of shares can bring the double benefit of relief on income tax and savings on capital gains tax as well. In addition, as The College Foundation is exempt from Capital Gains Tax, we would receive the full value of any stocks or shares you left. You, the donor, can deduct the market value of shares or securities on the date of transfer plus the cost of disposing of the shares.

American Giving

If you are an American citizen living in the USA or a non-American citizen who pays American tax you are entitled to a tax deduction of a donation made to an American charity. The CCCT is a member of The American Fund for Charities which is a registered 501(c)(3) organization accepting US donations on our behalf.

For further information on any of the above ways of making a donation to The College Foundation or to receive a copy of any of our forms please call Heather Eggleton at: The Development Office, Cheltenham College, Bath Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
